Quick answers about mobile notary service in Hendersonville and Middle Tennessee, from Prairie Street Consulting, LLC.
A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who comes to you instead of you going to a bank or shipping store. You call or book, we confirm the document type, the number of signers, and the location, and we meet you at your home, a hospital, a care facility, or your office. The visit itself usually takes about fifteen minutes, but may take longer.
Tennessee sets no fixed cap on in-person notary fees, so pricing varies. Our service starts at $75 per notarized document, travel included, within our regular service area. After-hours, long-distance, and multi-signer appointments are quoted before we come out. You'll always know the price before we arrive.
An unexpired government-issued photo ID for every signer. The document filled in completely but NOT signed — we have to watch the signature happen. Every person whose signature is being notarized has to be present, plus any witnesses the document requires. And the signer has to understand what they're signing and want to sign it.
Yes — that's a large part of what we do. The signer must be alert, understand the document, and be signing willingly. If we can't confirm that on the day, we cannot notarize, and we'll explain that kindly and tell you what options remain. We coordinate with nursing staff when needed.
We can't give legal advice or help you decide what a document should say. We can't certify copies of documents. We can't notarize for a spouse or for anyone in a transaction where we have a financial interest. We have to be able to communicate directly with the signer. And we can't notarize a signature that was made before we arrived.
No. The whole point of a notarization is that the notary witnessed the signature and verified who signed. Bring it filled out and unsigned. If it's already signed, we'll talk through what can be done.
Hendersonville, Sumner County, Greater Nashville, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee counties. Weekdays, with evenings and weekends by appointment. Same-week appointments are the norm; same-day is often possible — call and ask.
No. I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee, and I may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.
